GUIDELINES OF THE CLUB:

ELIGIBLITY:

You must be in grades 6th-8th

GRADES:

Students must have a C average and must maintain at least a C average in Science all year. Interims and report cards will be checked. Students having below a C average will be put on probation and given a chance to bring up it up by next report card. Failure to bring the grade up to a C will result in the student being dropped from the club.

CONDUCT:

Any student who receives a suspension or two Thursday Clinics will be dropped from the club. Any student who is asked to leave a meeting because of a behavior problem will be dropped from the club. If a student is dropped for any reason fees will not be returned.

DUES:

Dues of $10.00 must be paid by October 18th and your signed form turned in to Mrs. Rushing. With the money collected the sponsors will buy supplies that will allow the club to conduct a variety of science activities that will be completed during club meetings. The club will accept only the first 30 students who meet the above qualifications and pay the dues on time.

FIELD TRIP :

The only other cost will be the field trip at the end of the year. Teachers will be polled at the time of the field trip and any student, who is found to be a discipline problem, will not be allowed to attend the field trip. Once the fees are paid for the trip, no money will be refunded for any reason!

CLUB OFFICERS :

Club President, Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer, Reporter and Photographer will be chosen from 7th and 8th grade members. Two 6th grade representatives will be chosen as lab helpers.
